The price of a leather piece is set after inspection, at the counter. The amounts shown are starting prices.
Leather is inspected before it is priced.
Leather and suede are not textiles, they are skins. Thickness, finish, the age of the piece and any treatment it has already had decide what is possible — and what it costs.
So we look at the piece with you before naming a price: the worn areas, the lining, the seams, the colour. You leave knowing what we will do, what we will not do, and why.
What we take
The pieces we are brought most often.
Leather coats & jackets
Coat, blouson, jacket, waistcoat: the whole piece is treated, lining included.
Suede & nubuck
Open-grain materials, sensitive to water and rubbing. They need different care from smooth leather.
Sheepskin
Skin on one side, wool on the other: two materials on one piece, treated together.
What we do
After inspection, never before.
Cleaning & conditioning
The skin is cleaned, then fed so that it stays supple.
Lining repairs
A torn or unstitched lining is repaired or replaced without touching the outside.
Zips on leather
A jammed or missing zip is replaced, lined pieces included.

Starting prices. The final amount is set at the counter, once the piece has been inspected.

Amounts marked “from” are starting prices: the price of a leather piece is confirmed after inspection, at the counter. A heavily worn piece, one that has been re-dyed, or one repaired elsewhere may be turned down — we tell you before we accept it.
Common questions
The three questions we are asked about every leather piece.
Why is the price only set after inspection?
Because no two leather coats are the same piece: the skin, the finish, the age and any earlier treatment change the work. A price given without seeing the piece would only have to be corrected at the counter.
How long does it take?
Longer than a textile garment. We give you a date when you drop the piece off, once we have seen it — not before.
Does the colour change?
Cleaning revives the material, it does not re-dye it. A piece bleached by the sun or worn at the folds can stay uneven; we point that out before we start.
