Bring your curtains down off the rail and into the workshop at Centre Mercado. We measure them with you at the counter.
A curtain is not a garment.
A curtain is large, heavy, and often lined — two fabrics that do not behave the same way. We treat it according to its material and its lining, and return it pressed and ready to hang.
And if your curtains are too long for the room, we take them up: the hem is charged by the metre, voile as well as heavy fabric, in the same workshop as your clothing alterations.

Lined or unlined curtains
The price follows the fabric and the lining: a lined curtain is two fabrics to treat, not one.
Voiles & nets
Light fabrics that lose their shape quickly. They are treated separately and returned pressed.
Length & hems
A centimetre too long and the drop is wrong. The hem is taken up by the metre, voile included.

What does not fit in a domestic machine.
Duvets & pillows
Synthetic duvet from €30, pillow from €14. Bulky at home, routine here.
Sheets & covers
Sheet from €7.50, duvet cover from €10, pillowcase from €4, returned folded.
Table linen
A tablecloth is charged by the metre, a napkin per item from €2.50.

Tablecloths and pelmets are charged by the metre or the square metre; a curtain is priced once we have seen it, because the lining and the dimensions decide the work. Amounts marked “from” are starting prices.

Before you take anything down.
Do I have to take the curtains down myself?
Bring them down off the rail and without the track: we measure them and look at them with you at the counter.
Do curtains shrink when they are cleaned?
Some fabrics move a little, lined curtains most of all, because their two fabrics do not behave the same way. We look at the material and the lining before starting and tell you what is sensible.
Do you take duvets and pillows?
Yes. Synthetic duvet from €30, pillow from €14, mattress cover from €30: pieces that are too bulky for a domestic machine.
